Dr. Alan Smith is a co-owner of Animal Health Clinic, Baytown Animal Clinic, and Animal Health Center in Kiln. A lifelong resident of South Mississippi, Dr. Smith is passionate about providing exceptional veterinary medicine while building lasting relationships with the families and pets he serves.
After earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State University, he returned home with the goal of serving the community that helped shape him. His professional interests include small animal medicine and surgery, emergency medicine, and helping clients make informed decisions through honest, compassionate communication.
As a practice owner, Dr. Smith believes the best veterinary care begins with trust. He is committed to creating hospitals where clients know their veterinarian personally, receive individualized recommendations, and never feel like just another appointment on the schedule.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, coaching football, supporting local youth athletics, and serving his church and community. He considers it a privilege to care for generations of pets and their families throughout South Mississippi and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
